How It All Began

Originally based in Chiswick but now with an office in Berkeley Square, Mayfair, The County Register was originally the brainchild of one of the UK’s best known and most respected personal matchmakers Heather Heber Percy, herself a resident of West London. And even today more than 35 years and half a lifetime on from when she founded the company, Heather is still very much personally involved and still oversees the business on a day to day basis.
London Bound
As a single parent with two small children, on the school run each day, she became friendly with another mother Geraldine Turner and the two of them began running The County Register as a business and as a result of their success – it continues very much in its original form thirty seven years later.
Because of the demand for a traditional, face to face dating agency service, eventually Heather moved to West London, where a huge percentage of high end matchmaking is concentrated and although Geraldine is now retired, The County Register is still run today by Heather and her team, providing a wonderfully high quality, confidential and personal service to discerning daters, who are serious about finding their Mr or Ms Right, all around the UK too.

The County Register is now part of a larger group and can boast of a very large database of personally interviewed and carefully vetted people across the whole of the country, so you can join in the confidence that we have access to some of the most interesting and eligible singles nationwide. The higher level matchmaking service options are still personally supervised by Heather herself who continues to be full of energy and enthusiasm for this wonderful dating institution that she has painstakingly built up over so many years. She is still available upon request to meet many clients personally and heads up probably, one of the best matchmaking teams you could ever hope to find within the United Kingdom.
